Undergraduate Program
Bachelor in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) prepares you to help people hear, speak and communicate — from newborn hearing screening to rehabilitation after stroke. It is an undergraduate programme in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences (Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology) at St. Mary's University (SMRU), Hyderabad — a UGC-recognised private university on a residential campus at Deshmukhi, near Ramoji Film City, and runs for 4 Years (8 Semesters). Students learn to calibrate advanced audiological equipment and conduct speech-language assessments for individuals with communication impairments. You will spend time in clinical labs mastering the fitting of hearing aids and designing rehabilitation protocols for neurogenic communication disorders.
You study the anatomy and physiology behind your discipline, assessment methods, therapeutic and assistive-device techniques, rehabilitation planning, and professional ethics.
