M.Sc. Audiology
Postgraduate Program
About the M.Sc. Audiology programme
Programme Overview
M.Sc. Audiology prepares you to help people hear, speak and communicate — from newborn hearing screening to rehabilitation after stroke. It is a postgraduate programme in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences (Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology) at St. Mary's University (SMRU), Hyderabad — a UGC-recognised private university on a residential campus at Deshmukhi, near Ramoji Film City, and runs for 2 Years (4 Semesters). The current fee, intake and scholarship terms are confirmed with you at admissions counselling.
You train to restore communication, mobility and learning: assessing and managing hearing, speech and language disorders, designing and fitting prostheses and orthoses, and teaching children with disabilities in inclusive classrooms.
What Students Study
You study the anatomy and physiology behind your discipline, assessment methods, therapeutic and assistive-device techniques, rehabilitation planning, and professional ethics.
Learning Experience
You practise in the university's rehabilitation labs and on supervised clinical postings, progressing from observation to managing your own cases.
